Gashland’s Mercy Fund Ministry

We are called to care for one another and love one another in the world but specifically in our church family as well. The purpose of the Mercy Fund is to assist members, regular attendees, and those who call GEPC home, who find themselves in financial need due to job loss, physical or emotional difficulties, illness or other emergency situations. If you are in need of assistance, please click on the button below to fill out the online assistance request form, or you can download the PDF form and print it out HERE

Mercy Fund Donations

The Mercy fund is possible because of the generous giving of the church family.  Special offerings are taken on the first Sunday of every month, coinciding with communion. Contributors may however designate gifts to the Mercy Fund at any time. Donations by check should have “Mercy Fund” written in the memo portion of the check and cash donation should be placed in an envelope and designated “Mercy Fund”. We also now accept online donations. Click the button below to donate to the Mercy Fund today.

Our leadership wants you to know the details of this form of online giving.  We have chosen to use PayPal because it has the lowest administrative costs of the services we evaluated.  That being said, we want to make you aware that PayPal charges the church a fee for your gifts.  This fee includes 2.2% of your gift as well as $0.30 per transaction.  This is a fee you will not see, but is charged to the church. As this is part of your offering, we want to make sure you are aware of these fees.
