- Who: This is a parent meeting, but since it will be right after church we will have lunch provided not only for parents, but also your families.
- Adjusted Times for Afterburners: Since school has started up, we have adjusted the times of the afterburners. So please be sure to check out the schedule above to see the changed times.

IN THE LOOP?
It is my desire to be a resource to you in any way that I can. I believe an important part of family ministry is my partnership with parents. I want to help keep you in the loop on not only what is going on, but also what is being taught. This will give you an opportunity to better engage with your students about what they are learning and how they are learning to apply God’s Word to their lives.
- High School Sunday School: Last week we continued our study in Proverbs by taking a look at sexual immorality and Proverbs 5. This week we will be starting up a new series that I am incredibly excited about. This series is called: The Greatest Story Ever Told: A Journey from Genesis to Revelation. I will provide a more in depth discussion of what this series is about, what students will be learning, and why I am so excited about this series at the Parent Meeting. So please try to be there if you can! This fall will be Part I of this series. It will cover the book of Genesis and why the beginning is critically important to understanding the greatest story ever told.
- Middle School Sunday School: Ron Wilson is using the summer to focus on the idea of relationships. How do we relate to God? How do we relate to the world? How do we relate to Christians? Starting September 13th the Middle School will also be starting the same series as the High School: The Greatest Story Ever Told: A Journey from Genesis to Revelation.
- Connect: We are going through a series called, The Weird, The Wicked, and the Wondrous: Lesser Known Old Testament Stories. The goal of this series is to engage students with intriguing stories that are included in Scripture and to help them see that all of the Bible is God’s inspired Word and is useful for teaching, reproof, correction, and training in righteousness. This series will help students critically think about the meaning of these stories, how they fit into the larger story of redemption, and how even these strange stories can help us grow in our walk with the Lord. This week we will take a look at Elijah calling fire down on the soldiers in High School and the Earth swallowing Korah and Company in Middle School.
